I have never been inside it but from the video I guess it's kind of a museum . Therefore, I think making a library inside it with written books about it inside bookshelves and signs it would be an awesome place to visit . And easy too! just go /south :p

The Azadi Tower (Persian: برج آزادی‎, Borj-e Āzādi; translated: Freedom Tower),

Read some Story about the build here :

The Azadi Tower is the symbol of Tehran, the capital of Iran, and marks the entrance to the city. Here are several fountains around the base of the tower and a museum underground.

I haven't done anything for the interior design . I need volunteers to help me with that when I'm finished with the exterior :)
I like to make it something like a library where I can place signs and books about the history of the building. Basically , Put its wikipedia page inside it using signs and books :p

    @Bodydrag

The main arch could use some work. When I look at the first photo of the real arch i think of something closer to this(only larger): http://is.gd/GhO80P where there's a steep angle all the way down to the ground.

I think the next thing I would get down would be the ceiling underneath the main arch. The crease in the middle of the ceiling sort of forms an upsidedown arch. Can't really tell the exact shape of that based on the photo's above though.

The rest of it should fall into place after that, the legs of the tower look good.
    also, use odd numbers =)

out of curiousity, did you start your design with the legs of the tower? I would have started by outlining the main arch.

This is kind of small scale and would look better larger and with more detail, but you can see the major features that I would outline first.

you can see how it looks when you fill in the spaces here:

Hope that helps you with the arches. Best to design them in single player creative, very easy to fly out and see how it's looking.

Edit: BTW, I'm not saying it doesn't look good, it just isn't matching the photo as much as it could.

Can you help me with it? I can try do it myself but I think it would be better if you can come and show me the outline that your're thinking. It's just /south . I'm not really good at arches. You and @Bodydrag are arch gods here :p You guys can go and do whatever you want on the monument . :)

Edit : Yes, In creative mode I did one of the arches or 2 of the legs and then mcedit it on the other side so it would look symmetrical. But then here , I made a centroidal tower and measured the symmetry using the that.

God dammit Ali. Do you have a problem with having to excessively use glowstone in your buildings?

That's my style. Go read my building tutorial if you haven't already.

    ~Personal Style~

There's no one way to define someones building style and even having played Minecraft since beta I still haven't perfected my own building style at all but I'm continuously working towards getting it to where I want it to be. To me, building style is consistency - in other words a veteran Minecrafter could look at some random projects without knowing who built them and select with some degree of certainty which projects were created by the same builder. This isn't to say that all your builds have to be the same, but to create a style there will be a certain consistency, design element, or a common link shared between all of your builds. Take for instance the creative builder Block_Fortress, when he posts a new project I don't need to look at his name to know it's a Block_Fortress project, I can just tell by his style.- Mcholypotato

I feel like it should have been made out of sandstone or something similar.

It also is a really hard build in MC since the actual has such a slight slope in the middle arch.
