Dirt base is filled in at GCU, @Quintao to take over with the construction. Just let me know what materials. Glass is in the warehouse, and I'll start working on light blue lamps and royal blue wool. We've got a fair amount of the wool already.
If you want to help out GC you could do youtube videos and advertise and such. If you mean GCC then eh...
Sorry But I don't have a program to record Minecraft with. I also don't have a Reddit account too. I was More thinking along the line of some type of building work.
Going to try and make this the official Roads post for GCC. Those looking to volunteer and help are welcome to help out placing wool for the roads on the East side of the river. The roads on the West side can be used as guides, but please make sure you are looking at the correct roads for a guide. East side roads pic: 4 lane divided: I've set up an example and staggered the blocks so people can understand what blocks make up the pattern. The pattern is as follows: T:Y:W:W:W:T:WP:W:W:W:T:WP:S:S:WP:T:W:W:W:WP:T:W:W:W:Y:T T= Black Triple Panel Y= Yellow Panel W = Black Wool Block WP = White Panel S = Space stripes on these are two blocks long with two blocks between The middle space in this one is made up of smoothstone slab panels, and stone brick panel corners: Two Lane Road: The pattern is as follows: T:Y:W:W:W:T:WP:WP:T:W:W:W:Y:T T= Black Triple Panel Y= Yellow Panel W = Black Wool Block WP = White Panel stripes on these are 4 blocks long with 3 spaces between One way road: The pattern is as follows: T:Y:W:W:W:W:Y:T T= Black Triple Panel Y= Yellow Panel W = Black Wool Block These parts are found on the East wall of the warehouse. If we run out of anything, let me know so more can be made or use wool from chests on that aisle to make more if you have a saw.
Just finished the bits left on this road for tonight : (Not updated on the map ) I'll work on more tomorrow night
Yeah, you should be able to tell from the road sizes. there is only one one lane road on the south end of that east side.. the rest should be really easy to tell. Two lane is 20 wide including the sidewalks, and the 4 lane is 3o wide. The one road with the little zig zag in it that heads towards the river, please do not work on that one. That one is a 3 lane which will be sorta like the one near the power plant thats wider for a bit.
My personal thanks to the efforts of @aliparpar @Muhammad_Zaxx and @asdpyro for the work done at the city last night. There was a fair amount of road work done. And thanks to any others who've been helping Quintao at GCU. So we're left with the east west 4 lane highway circled in blue, the 1 way circled in red, and the 2 lane roads highlighted in yellow. Please leave the road circled in green for me as its a bit different.
June 21 Update: Thanks to help from @stpotter @ScuttleShip and some community service some nice progress was made on roads yesterday. Help finishing the roads and helping Quinntao with GCU is always welcome. For roads, please see the post from a few days ago for instruction, and for GCU, please talk to Quinntao when he is on.
Thanks to dmgbsktbal22 for helping finish up the current roads that needed to be done. Thanks to anyone else who helped in the last week to finish the roads project. There will be more in the future, but for now we've done the vast majority. Updates on projects underway: 1) GCU is being prepped for build. Please contact Quinntao if you want to help. 2) My RP logic gate factory is done on the outside, will start on the inside now. 3) Bearjew's solar factory is half built on the outside. 4) We worked on the beach a bit yesterday. The deck has to be lowered to step down into the ocean. Anyone can help do this, just copy what's been done so far, or ask for instructions. What's needed or what's to come: 1) We need bridge designs. For the big bridge that crosses the most southern road, I vote for @djbrooks06 's bridge he posted earlier in this thread. So that leaves us two shorter bridges that need to be designed. 2) We need more building designs. Use the mini map next to the sheep farm for plot sizes and height. Everything is at 1:10 scale. Remember, we don't have to follow the model exact, its more of a guide to placement, height etc.. 3) Need to come up with a design to fill in the gap between the two decks along the river. 4) Once I get the logic gates in production, we can start on the street lights at the intersections.
I'm not sure if it will bother anyone but I noticed that at least one of the roads was built using sub-blocks in between the road dashes instead of full blocks. Causing the live-map appearance to be a solid line instead of dashed lines. Also, I'd like to help with one of the ongoing projects. Expect to see me out there at some point.
well the good news is there is spacing in-between the lines, the reason for it looking like that on the map is someone used cut blocks all the way down, so the bad news is it looks wrong on the map. Now the terrible news is all the spacing for the east side on the 2 lane roads are out by 1 block, so about 75% of the markings on the east need to be taken up and relayed.
The exterior of the RP Logic Factory is done. The inside of the factory is about 40% done. Here is a look at the outside.
