On low settings i can get around 1000, but at max settings (Optifine) i get around 400. My system has an i5 2500k at 4.2GHz, 8GB's ram, and a gtx 570. So what fps do you guys get in minecraft?
I find that kinda hard to believe because I don't get that FPS with a 570 and i7 2600k. What resolution are you playing at?
On default texture pack, 1024x768 i get 33fps normally, tho it drops alot if i look at things like torches or BC pipes etc
i get quite a bit on max. havnt checked the numbers but my specs for my rig: i5-2500k clocked at 4.5 ghz , 8 gigs of ram, and amd 7970 graphics card . also on a side note i use eyefinity* and when i get home ill check my fps on 5700 x 1200 resolution. it does seem high for getting 1000 fps on low settings, i think my system cant even handle that on 1 monitor.
I've been mulling over signing up for the Build server. Mostly hesitating because my computer is an absolute crap box, and I don't know if I'll be able to even walk around, let alone have a good time.
Even if you can't do anything the community is great to hang out with. The server also has NO LAG, so you will get about what you have in single player unless you have crappy internet.
That's good! Sort of! I think I'll get in tonight when I come home, and at least I'll have it all set up for if/when I get a better computer.
i used to play with an intel hd chipset which is pretty crap and if i was on normal view distance it was more than enough
I tried out the optifine fps increaser thing and it seems to help a LOT, which makes me extremely happy!
Max settings max load distance, Spax 64 Texture pack, no extra allocated ram, 25-50fps.. On the server with the reduced loading distance 38-60.. on a good internet day.
My laptop when it gets hot I get something like lag hiccups which drops my fps to 1-2 fps but then suddenly I'll have 50-60 fps afterwards no matter what settings I play. These were not happening something like a year ago when I played GC. I've learned that if I don't run any other background Programmes like Spotify or Chrome etc , I would be fine with constant 50-60 (may drop to 10fps few times but nothing major)
