What might the next Moria be?

With looking at bagline's posts on moria and the conversation I brought up about it, what might be the next Moria size project for us? Or, do you think something like that would even ever happen again?

Its kind of scary to think about how Moria ever happened, and I wonder if it could ever happen again. A single project so vast and massive, done %100 legit, a room of double chests that have cobble in them bigger than most peoples' homes. A place and a project so inclusive, that almost everyone on the server has put work into it in some regard.

Would such a thing ever be possible again? I wonder.

You could do Moria's main hall in about 24 48 hours if you had 25 32 people digging non-stop with diamond tools. (I'm basing this on how much was dug at Phi in only 2 3 hours)

I will not be making another Moria, but I do hope the torch is picked up by someone else and they make a version even better. I'd most definitely stop by and help dig.

    Edit: and derp... it's "32 people, 3 hours, and 152,000 stone. That's a 48 hour Moria. =)"

Edit 2: The godcraft subway and Phi are actually of comparable size, maybe larger, when you figure out the number of blocks removed.

I don't mean literally Moria. I wouldn't want to make the same thing twice. I was being more hypothetical. Like it could be anything. The Epic central town in Cyrodil, The Imperial City or Hogwarts Castle. It could anything. We did Moria, and it is grand already, no need to do it again. ;)

That would be a really fun one, and since its on an ocean it wouldn't be hogging up prime real estate.

It couldn't be to scale in any direction, but it would a cool project.

Scaling down would fuck it too much, the center spire is > 600m just looked it up. So nvm to that.

Could still be done 1/3 scale for the big buildings, but 1/1 scale for the interior.

I don't think it would work out for the same reason skyscrapers in mc look stupid.

Not impossible to make it look good there is a half decent version already, and they didn't utilize the entire 256 build height.

Based on the images posted of this one http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/stargate-atlantis-city/ and the overhead map available here http://www.minecraftsaves.net/uploads/isometric/index.php?map=17-12-2012-Stargate Atlantis City

it's only in the ~120 block range, and you can see on the map he carved out the landscape to get more height. You could easily get 190 height without digging.

If you're going to build this, start with the central tower as it's the most important piece and will set the scale for the rest of the build. (don't even bother with outlining the base until after)

I don't like the look of it post scaling. I'm still trying to find ideas.
